Fund Development
Your donations help make Girls Scouting possible.
Girl Scouting helps girls realize their dreams and become tomorrow's leaders. Yet today, funds from United Way and our annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale aren't enough to provide the programs for girls, training of adult volunteers and maintenance of camps to achieve our mission of serving all girls. In fact, funding from United Ways has been cut 15% this year. Yet, the cost to serve each girl increases.
Today, it costs $223 for the council to serve a girl for one year and $148 to train an adult volunteer to serve that girl. And, more girls need assistance to participate in Girl Scouts, as many parents are affected by job cuts throughout the Niagara County area. Your generous support is needed now more than ever before.
Look what your gift can do:
- $50 will pay for Girl Scouts of USA membership, troop dues for a year and a field trip.
- $95 will send a girl to one week of day camp.
- $223 will sponsor a girl for one year.
- $540 will provide the Girl Scout program for one year to a whole troop.
Your gift will go right to work here in our Niagara County community, making it possible for even more local girls to benefit from the Girl Scout experience. We need your support to continue our vast array of Girl Scout programs -- programs that provide fun and excitement while fostering solid values girls can grow on. Your gift will ensure the future of our council, giving girls the chance to grow courageous and strong.
